Brothers & Sisters,
This past Saturday, the International released a letter in which they explained how they have taken the Company to Federal Court as a method to try and get a favorable ruling concerning the current USPS background screenings being conducted.
As part of that letter, they mentioned the filing of an injunction with the Court. The aim of the injunction is to postpone the current USPS screening until the Court is able to hear the arguments of the TWU's complaint.
Attached to this email are the actual documents filed with the Court on December 5, 2018. Also included is a document filed today, December 10th, 2018 which states the following: "The Plaintiff, Transport Workers Union of America, by its attorneys Terrance B. McGann and Karen M. Rioux of McGann, Ketterman & Rioux, respectfully request that its Motion for a Preliminary Injunction scheduled to be heard on Thursday, December 13, 2018 be withdrawn without prejudice and removed from the call as the parties are in discussions to resolve the matter."
As we get more information, we shall share it.
